The issue of immediate Khiafate of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (AS) is one of the controversial theological issues between Sunnis and Shiites. A logical and fair investigation to solve the problem can put the right way in front of the seekers to truth. The purpose of this article is to recognize and explain the methods of Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (A.S) on her immediate imamate and Khiafate based on the Makarem Shirazi's description on Nahj al-Balagheh. The main question of the research is that: Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (A.S) in Nahj al-Balagheh, with what methods and how did he argue for the defense of her immediate imamate and Khiafate?
This article was prepared by the method of text review and content analysis. The findings of the research showed that Amir al-Mu'minin Ali (A.S) proved that he alone was worthy of the imam and immediate caliphate of the great prophet (p.b.u.h) both by the method of presenting a logical argument of the second form and by the method of explicitly introducing himself as an imam.
